Paragon Wealth Management named a top advisory firm in the country
Provo-based Paragon Wealth Management, an investment management company, was listed on Wealth Manager Magazine’s “2008 Top Dogs” list, which includes the top advisory firms in the U.S.
The 8th annual rankings were printed in the July/August issue of Wealth Manager Magazine. Paragon was one of 478 firms recognized.
To be eligible for the Top Wealth Manager ranking, companies must be registered investment advisors, report more than $50 million in assets under advisement, have predominantly individual clients and offer financial-planning services. Wealth Manager ranks each firm by the size of their average client relationships, not by total assets in order to highlight the firms with the wealthiest clientele. Survey respondents do not include banks, broker/dealers or trust companies.
Wealth Manager said the overall assets under management for the 2008 Top Dogs range from $14.4 billion at the largest firm to $36 million at the smallest firm, with an average total AUM of $632.6 million and a median AUM of $256.3 million—up 8.4 percent from $236.5 million in 2007, and up 28.8 percent from the $199 million reported in 2006.
Paragon Wealth Management’s methods have received national attention from the media for their investment services. Their flagship portfolio called Top Flight generated a total return of 393.02% verses 56.29% for the S&P 500 from its inception on December 31, 1997 through June 30, 2008. Its compound annual return is 16.55%, versus 4.38% for the S&P 500 (visit www.paragonwealth.com to see complete track record and full disclosures).
In May 2008 Paragon received the “Small Business of the Year Award” from the Provo/Orem Chamber of Commerce. Paragon also received the “Utah Best of State Award” in Financial Services this year.
